The Fat Duck Cafe is housed in the Coronation Hall, Queen Elizabeth Park, Masterton. The building itself is one of the most beautiful examples of an Early 20th Century Colonial Building. It started life as a type of Community hall, and was built to commemorate the coronation of King George V in 1912. Since then, the Building has hosted the old Park Kiosk and an Aquarium.

The building was renovated in 2001 and now houses Masterton’s Best Eatery.

The Fat Duck is owner operated and as such we are able to provide you with some of the most original and tasty food and drink that the Wairarapa has to offer. Our wine list is designed around local vineyards and our food is all prepared on site from fresh produce with simplicity and style. We also have the most extensive beer list in Masterton.
